PinPoint was founded in 2006. Even then, the fleet tracking field was crowded. In order to separate ourselves from the rest of the field, PinPoint had to take a unique approach. Our task was, and remains to search the industry for the best solution for each customer. This removes the uncertainty and guesswork from a major investment decision, and allows our customers to focus on what they do best – run their core business.
In 2006, PinPoint achieved recognition by Landscape Ontario for our approach to understanding customer requirements, and endorsed PinPoint as the preferred fleet tracking partner for its members. This recognition was followed by a similar endorsement from the Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada.
Since our founding, the capability of software applications coupled with the rapid decrease in the cost of mobile hardware and wireless data plans has created a new paradigm for fleet management. Cost cannot be a reason for not implementing the correct tools to manage your fleet more effectively. Today PinPoint provides a complete range of solutions from initial needs analysis to full turnkey project management, and at a wide variety of features to meet different budget levels.
